PATCHWORK
Patchwork is a new book imprint at Written World Communications. Our latest imprint is considered a hodge–podge of ideas sewn together with the family in mind. This is a line of Christian books, so every submission should have either an obvious faith element or at least be consistent with a Christian worldview.
That said, we’re looking for a variety of projects to fill out this line.
- Children’s picture books
- Middle readers
- Easy readers
- Short chapter books (1 – 2 grade level) both fiction and non–fiction
- Homeschool curriculum
- Parenting books, or other non-fiction with the family in mind
- Books for the family as a whole, such as family devotions, storybooks, and things meant to be read and enjoyed together
We are accepting original, unpublished work by freelance writers, artists, and photographers. Each submission should be sent by email only, with a cover letter that includes:
- Your name and contact information
- A short synopsis of your project along with the working title
- The intended age level of this project
We are a traditional publisher, which means we are a paying market, although the advances are small. If contracted, you will receive royalties for your work.
Submissions can be sent to patchwork.wwc@gmail.com.
We retain the right to edit written submissions for grammar, brevity, and clarity of language. We would send you the suggested changes prior to publication. Please allow between 6–8 weeks for notification. All submissions accepted only by email.
These guidelines are subject to change and are current as of September 12, 2010. Thank you for your interest in Patchwork.
