SA started out as a clique with a link to the webpages of our members. Then we added in some writing exercises and began talking about a book of poetry written entirely by our members.

Now, along with all those things, we will be adding something more - Writer's Resources, markets, contests, links, and hopefully information that will prove valuable to you, the aspiring writer.

When Scribbler's Anonymous was first named it had two meanings behind it. The more superficial of the two referred to the 'addiction of writing.' Like those who seek out other "anonymous" programs, people who came here visited because they wanted to meet others who "couldn't help but write."

But the second meaning is one that I never even thought of back in the early days of Scribblers. It refers to the fact that those who came here are for the most part anonymous writers - their work unknown to the world around us. For you, I hope, the changes that I make here today will draw you into the light. May each and every one of you by Anonymous no more.
